Job description

Do you ensure that no defect goes unnoticed?

At BAS World, commercial vehicles and buses arrive daily from all over the world. Before these vehicles can be sold, they must be thoroughly inspected. That’s where you come in.

As a Vehicle Inspector, you are responsible for the technical and visual inspection of incoming vehicles. You check for damages, identify technical defects, perform test drives, and ensure all findings are accurately recorded.

Your work has a direct impact on BAS World’s results. Missing a defect or failing to identify technical issues can lead to unnecessary costs. Thanks to your attention to detail and sense of responsibility, we prevent unjustified repair costs and ensure damages are recovered from suppliers on time.

We are looking for someone who inspects a vehicle as if it were their own — someone who takes ownership, has a sharp eye for detail, and immediately identifies technical deviations.

What will you do?

No two days are the same. You are responsible for the full inspection process of incoming commercial vehicles and buses.

Your tasks include:

  • Receiving incoming vehicles

  • Checking transport documents (CMR) and vehicle data

  • Identifying transport damages

  • Registering vehicles in the system

  • Performing technical and visual inspections

  • Conducting test drives

  • Recording technical defects

  • Preparing and substantiating damage claims towards suppliers

  • Submitting damage claims to suppliers

  • Contributing to maintaining high-quality standards within BAS World

You will work closely with a colleague in the same role. Together, you are responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all incoming vehicles.

Who are you?

You are someone who takes responsibility and is not afraid to be critical. You notice details others miss and leave nothing to chance. We are looking for someone who shows ownership and dares to take responsibility, with a keen eye for detail and an accurate way of working. You have strong technical insight, work well in a team, and identify issues in time, reporting them proactively.

What do we offer?

  • A responsible role within a fast-growing international organization

  • Working with a wide variety of commercial vehicles and buses

  • A position where your technical insight truly makes a difference

  • Collaboration with a dedicated colleague in a close-knit team

  • Opportunities to develop yourself within BAS World

  • Competitive employment conditions and growth opportunities

Your specifications

  • Good command of the English language (required)

  • Affinity with commercial vehicles, trucks, or buses

Nice to have:

  • Experience as a mechanic, inspector, driver, or within the automotive sector

  • Knowledge of damage detection

  • Driver’s license C

Candidates from abroad are also welcome. A good command of English is essential for this role.

Why this role?

Because you are the one who ensures nothing gets overlooked.

Through your inspections, we prevent unnecessary costs, detect damages early, and ensure every vehicle meets BAS World’s quality standards.

Your work makes the difference between assumptions and facts.
