AI Engineer

BAS Group is an AWS Enterprise organization that is heavily investing in AI-driven automation. We have already built and deployed three AI-agents across critical business processes, and we are at the start of a broader transformation in which AI-agents will play a key role in efficiency, customer interaction, and internal automation.

As an AI Engineer, your primary focus is building, extending, and operationalizing AI-agents. You work at the intersection of engineering, LLM technology, MLOps/LLMOps, and data. You build systems that autonomously execute tasks, automate workflows, and integrate seamlessly with core internal platforms such as CRM, ERP, order processing, digital services, and support environments. You don’t just experiment — you turn AI innovations into scalable, production-ready solutions.

What you will do at BAS Group

In this role, you build new AI-agents that automate business processes and support teams ranging from sales and operations to support and marketing. You enhance and maintain our existing agents, scaling and improving them while ensuring they fit naturally into daily workflows. You design robust agent architectures for task automation, document processing, decision-assistants, and internal workflow optimization, leveraging modern agent frameworks such as LangGraph to orchestrate multi-step reasoning, tools, and operational logic. You also develop integrations with core systems (CRM, ERP, order platforms, support tools) and ensure that our agents run reliably in production using best-practice LLMOps principles — including monitoring, evaluation, versioning, routing, and safety mechanisms. Together with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and the AI team, you work in an AWS-first environment and deploy everything in a scalable and repeatable way using Terraform, Git, and CI/CD.

Your specifications

• 1+ year as an AI Engineer or 2+ years as a Data Scientist/Data Engineer with strong AI focus

• Strong Python skills

• Terraform (must) and Git (must)

• Experience building AI-agents or LLM-powered workflows

• Knowledge of or interest in agent frameworks such as LangGraph

• Understanding of LLMOps (evaluation, prompting, monitoring, versioning, routing)

• Experience connecting AI models with operational systems

• Experience with AWS-first deployments (Lambda, ECS, Bedrock, Sagemaker)

• Affinity with automation, reliability and production-grade AI
