Job description

We’re looking for a Product Owner to take ownership of the Financial Operations supporting both our trading platform and the other companies withing BAS Group. You will be in the lead of all our financial systems and processes. You’ll think of optimalisation, and innovative ways to increase efficiency and accuracy within our financial departments and systems.

Currently we are moving our accounting system from Navision to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Your first challenge will be to create and integrate a new Accounting Service that will connect our current systems to Business Central. That means your decisions will shape the future of Finance within BAS from the very beginning.

This role requires understanding user needs. Deep knowledge of finance and its processes will help you thrive. You will prioritize initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability, helping us achieve the ambitious growth targets we have for the future.

What You’ll Do

  • Shape the Product Strategy – Define and execute a product strategy that helps make BAS World get the most out of our financial services and systems;

  • Prioritize the Right Work – Own the product backlog, define clear user stories, test our solutions and ensure the team understands the outcomes we’re driving;

  • Empower Internal Teams – Develop systems that help our Finance department to do their work efficiently, and be able to trust on 100% accurate and compliant financial processes;

  • Work Across Teams – Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Tech and all business departments to align priorities and deliver value;

  • Drive Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline processes and introduce innovative solutions that help us getting ready for more growth and expansion.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a driven, tech-savvy Product Owner with a strong ability and experience to connect the dots between financial processes and technology.

  • Proven Finance experience – You know your way around financial processes and systems;

  • Proven Product Leadership – You have a track record of developing and launching digital products, leading cross-functional teams, and driving product strategy;

  • Customer-Obsessed – You deeply understand user behavior and are passionate about solving real user problems;

  • Data-Driven Decision Maker – You rely on data to prioritize work, measure success, and iterate on solutions;

  • Collaborative & Influential – You work well across teams, aligning stakeholders, engineers, and designers to drive outcomes;

  • Tech-Savvy – You can engage in technical discussions and make informed product decisions without getting lost in the weeds;

  • Outcome-Oriented – You focus on delivering business impact, not just shipping features;

  • Adaptable & Hands-On – You thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization and are comfortable wearing multiple hats;

  • Experience with Agile & OKRs – We’re moving from an output-driven to an outcome-driven approach, so experience with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) is a plus.

Job requirements

Your specifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field;

  • Experience in Finance or Product Development;

  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills;

  • PSPO certificate is a plus!

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus;

  • Proficient understanding of the Dutch language.
