Job description

About the role

Most CRM roles focus on administration or creation. This one is about architecture. You will build a data middleware layer that connects product teams, Redshift, and HubSpot, and you will be responsible for every technical decision within it.

We work with a three-layer architecture: product teams deliver data streams, Redshift enriches and models the data, and HubSpot activates it—both through out-of-the-box functionality and custom solutions. What we are missing is someone who understands the full stack, from source data to CRM activation, and takes technical ownership of everything in between.

That person is you.

What you will do

HubSpot data architecture: ownership, not administration

You define how data enters HubSpot, how it is validated, enriched, and ultimately used. You design the object and property structure, manage the integration layer, and structurally safeguard data quality—not through one-off fixes, but through architectural decisions that won’t require rebuilding later.

You are responsible for the overall setup: segmentation logic, scoring models, lifecycle architecture, and the technical integrity of the entire system. You leverage both native HubSpot functionality and targeted customizations where standard solutions fall short.

Data contracts with product teams

Product teams build features—but they don’t always know what the CRM layer needs. You translate requirements into concrete technical specifications: not “better data,” but “the first-use event is missing, which prevents lifecycle stage X from being automated.”

You define data contracts, join sprint planning sessions, and ensure new features feed the correct data structures.

Reporting infrastructure

You translate commercial questions into technically sound reports. You manage the HubSpot reporting layer, align definitions with BI, and ensure sales and marketing teams base decisions on accurate data.

Redshift & dbt: the enrichment layer

This is the technical growth area of the role. You collaborate with the Data & AI team on dbt transformations that convert raw source data into CRM-ready structures.

You write or review SQL, set up quality controls, and build enrichment layers that deliver clean, consistent data aligned with HubSpot. Your CRM expertise guides what gets built—Redshift is the workshop.

What we offer

  • Full technical ownership of the CRM middleware layer, including formal mandate;

  • A structured dbt learning trajectory through the data team, with intensive guidance during the first three months;

  • Direct involvement in product planning and an official voice in data contracts;

  • Budget for HubSpot certifications and data engineering training;

  • Access to pipeline reviews and customer conversations for additional commercial insight;

  • A competitive senior salary, based on experience and impact.

Job requirements

Your specifications

  • Hands-on technical experience with HubSpot or Salesforce (architecture, data models, and integrations), preferably within a high-growth environment;

  • Proven experience in structurally resolving data quality issues within a CRM environment;

  • Ability to independently design, propose, and defend CRM architecture without waiting for detailed specifications;

  • Experience defining technical data requirements for product and engineering teams;

  • Knowledge of or strong affinity with SQL, dbt, and data warehouse environments such as Redshift;

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Does this sound like you?

You naturally start by understanding the technical requirements behind a CRM request before creating anything. You have strong opinions on data modeling—and you can defend them when stakeholders pull in different directions. You get energy from a well-built stack, and from being the one who builds it.

If you’ve always been curious about what sits beneath HubSpot—how data flows in, how enrichment works, what dbt does—this is the role where that curiosity turns into real technical expertise.

Apply

Send your CV and a short motivation letter to Clair Verstraeten. Tell us about a technical CRM problem you solved and how you ensured a structural solution. That tells us more than a standard cover letter.

Questions? Feel free to reach out—we’d be happy to tell you more about the architecture and the team.
