Job description

At BAS World, we actively participate in worldwide trade, operating at a global scale on a daily basis. As an Account Manager, your responsibility is to sell trucks, trailers, machinery, and commercial vehicles to various clients worldwide. You will also be the primary contact for potential customers. In this role, it is crucial that you can speak multiple languages. Since customers often find us easily, you spend relatively less time on acquisition. In most cases, clients physically visit us for the first time.

Your role involves building a trusted business relationship, negotiating prices, and closing sales contracts. You ensure customer satisfaction by offering a comprehensive package, including maintenance, tires, diesel, transport and/or shipping, leasing, or financing. All with one goal: making the customer happy with a complete solution that aligns with their needs.

You will organize your day as efficiently as possible, explore opportunities and make informed decisions about where to invest your time. International trade in trucks, trailers, machinery, and commercial vehicles involves various complexities, such as import restrictions, bank compliance, regulations, and local market preferences. You will master this knowledge and make sure every order runs smoothly. Your experienced sales colleagues are always there to support you.

You will join an international and driven team of around 30 colleagues. Your manager is an experienced salesperson who has been with BAS for several years. He knows the business, processes, and will support the team in daily activities. This way, you are never alone, and you can develop yourself every single day. The team has a healthy winning mentality, where we are competitively engaged but also enjoy each other's company. Every week starts fresh, and the week ends with a Friday afternoon drink to discuss the week.

Job requirements

Your specifications

  • Fluent in Dutch and/or English, with proficiency in 2 to 3 additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, or French);
  • Your clients range from freelancers to directors of large multinationals. You can easily adapt your communication and you are not afraid to negotiate with anyone;
  • You are quick, take the lead, and see every inquiry as a chance to make a deal.
